Hi, how can I help?

*I’m accepting clients for in-person visits at our Redmond office. I also see clients via telehealth.

Hi! I’m Bob and I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Awesome that you’re here! Okay, maybe not-so-awesome since you’re looking for counseling help. The truth is, we can all use a little bit of help along the way.

Can I be that person for you?

Where I’ve been

I’m a California native and grew up having to figure out a lot of things on my own. I had a hard time connecting with adults who made it seem like they were better than me and vowed to be different once I was old enough to do something about it.

In my 40+ years of experience working with adolescents and young adults, I feel like I’ve seen it all. I’ve worked in in-patient psychiatric hospitals, out-patient treatment, in-home treatment, group homes and foster homes, social services agency and probation. My longest stint was a psychotherapist position in Orange County juvenile hall for 13 years!

I might have retired from the County position but I’m not done being a therapist yet. A change in scenery brought me to group practices in eastern Washington, Sammamish, and now Redmond.

Certificate-wise, I received a B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Davis. Hitting the job ceiling as a Mental Health Assistant, I went back for my M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles. After all these years in the field, I still love to learn. The latest research fascinates me and I want to work as long as I can.

When I’m not seeing clients

I’m often thinking about therapy-related things. But, when I take our dog out to the dog park or stay updated on all things hockey, then my mind can steal away for a while. I enjoy time with my wife and daughter and I find complex computer games intriguing. I can also talk your ears off about geography and history, but I won't. And oh, do I need my sleep.

So, what do you think?! Let me know if I can help you find your way again.
