We’ve recently made our last hire and completed our headcount. If you’d like to be considered for future positions, please fill out our application below and we’ll reach out if/when there are changes to our team. Our best to you and your continued job search and career in our ever changing field!

People from underrepresented communities are strongly encouraged to apply!

People Bloom, an intentionally small group practice in Redmond, is looking for ONE *really full-time W-2 clinician to join our team.

Current opening

  • Licensed clinicians, with consideration for Associates, with preferably ONE year of post-graduate experience working with teens and adults.

*Our really full-time clinician would schedule 25 clients a week and end up seeing roughly 22 clients. You may choose to see more clients, but you’re not required to.

Who we are

Hi, I’m Ada Pang. I went through the various stages of starting and growing my solo practice until I came up against my limitations: I wanted to serve the community and make a greater impact, but I couldn’t be all things to all people. Having worked at other settings where there was too much paperwork, too large a caseload, not enough support or management too many levels removed from frontline work, I vowed to be different when I grew beyond me. Clinicians who join People Bloom work with the clients they’re most trained to serve. We value a work/self-care balance so we have time to be with our families and friends, walk our dogs and engage in activities that make us whole.

“It’s not like you’re flipping burgers!”

Please know I have a lot of respect for people who work in fast food. Their jobs are very important. And, those were routinely my sister’s words to me when I would tell her how many clients I saw each day at my previous jobs. As a therapist, I see us as lending our limbic systems to our clients, staying present to and centering their stories. Thus, we hire people with capacity for different caseloads:

  • part-time: schedule 15 clients a week

  • kinda full-time: schedule 20 clients a week

  • really full-time: schedule 25+ clients a week

Having different caseload capacities bring diversity to our team. We’re working parents, people returning to the field after a break, semi-retired folks or people who just want to focus on the clinical work and nothing else.

As a practice, we do not specialize in any one modality or clinical interest. Clinicians bring their passion and training and we help build a caseload around that. That means you may be the only clinician on the team with a particular specialization. No matter how early or late you may be in your career, we believe you have something to offer the rest of us.

Lastly, we’re a 6-7 clinician practice. I, the owner, have always preferred small venues, small gatherings over big ones and I want to be there for my people, whatever support looks like for them.

Why we exist

At People Bloom, we believe people feel stuck in their circumstances but they don’t know how to break free. We help people make meaningful changes so they can be closer to the life they want.

Key characteristics of people who join our team

  • Empathetic – We begin with the client’s perspective by putting on their shoes and walking in them.

  • Courageous – Some conversations are difficult and we have them anyway.

  • Present – We show up and do our best for each particular situation.

Critical actions that we take to move the mission forward

  • We affirm – We affirm the efforts that people make, however small.

  • We approach – We do the things that make us uncomfortable.

  • We initiate – When we see a problem, we actively drive the solution.

Why we show up for work

At People Bloom, we believe people want better outcomes for their lives and relationships but they don’t know how to get there. Not having a way forward causes them to feel trapped.

We provide perspective and skills, specific to the situation, that can result in meaningful changes. When people have additional tools to face their circumstances, this gives them hope.

When people make meaningful changes, they live fuller lives.

A Caveat

While we’re known in the community and have a steady flow of referrals, it often takes time to build up a caseload that’s a good fit for you and your clients. As you can tell throughout our website, we invest in content to build up the caseload of each clinician and their specialties. These marketing efforts are collaborative and will require your time and patience, especially in the early months of you joining the practice. We’re looking for a clinician who’d be willing to step into that space.

Perhaps you’re hoping to leave community mental health and do something different. Or, maybe you want the flexibility of private practice and the feel of a small community without the worries of running a business. Whatever the case, there’s a lot to learn at People Bloom.

FAQ

The cost of living in Seattle is ridiculous! How much will I be paid for this position?

Your salary is based on a fee splitting percentage. For an associate, you get 45%, which includes regular AAMFT supervision. For someone fully licensed, it’s 50%. Our average reimbursement is $118-129 from insurance and higher for private pay.

Here’s the quick math, based solely on insurance clients -
For associates:
$56 per session x 22 clients a week x 48 weeks a year = $59K a year.
$56 per session x 25 clients a week x 48 weeks a year = $67K a year.
$56 per session x 28 clients a week x 48 weeks a year = $75K a year, etc.

For fully licensed folks:
$62 per session x 22 clients a week x 48 weeks a year = $65K a year.
$62 per session x 25 clients a week x 48 weeks a year = $74K a year.
$62 per session x 28 clients a week x 48 weeks a year = $83K a year, etc.

When you’ve been with People Bloom for three-years, your percentage split goes up by 5%.

What’s your COVID policy?

As a clinician, we expect you to be fully vaccinated. You may choose to see clients in-person at our Redmond office and/or WFH remotely. We only see clients in-person who have been fully vaccinated. With the lifting of the mask mandate in healthcare settings, clinicians still mask during in-person sessions if that’s what the client prefers.

I have or plan to open my own practice in the near future. Can I still work for you?

Maybe. If you plan to serve an entirely different client population than the people you see at People Bloom, then let’s work out the details. Otherwise, it’d be difficult to avoid conflict of interest.
