Counseling for Teachers and Office & Administrative Support Staff

*I’m accepting new clients for telehealth appointments.

Hi, I’m Rachel. I used to be a high school teacher. I taught English Language Arts, Business Communications, and English ASL. It was hard — hard finding time to fit in everything required of me and the job, and even harder finding time for myself. While I valued that experience, it was tricky to have a work/life balance.

If you’re someone who works in the school setting, whether it’s providing office and administrative support, teaching, or anything and everything else in between, I want you to know: I see you. You got into this field because you want to make a difference and you are making a difference.

As a former teacher, I have a heart for working with you. I want to help you find balance, whatever that looks like for you. There are likely good reasons that brought you to working in academia, but it can be easy to lose sight of those well intentions in the day-to-day. Together, we can work through challenging situations, set better boundaries between work and home life, and help you let go of the things that you can’t control.

Flexible school, work, and afternoon hours available for in-person or telehealth appointments

I know superheroes who work in the school system can use some help debriefing from the day before transitioning into home life. I have the following hours available:

Mondays - 11am to 5:15pm
Tuesdays - 11am to 5:15pm
Wednesdays - 11am to 5:15pm
Thursdays - 10am to 4:30pm (virtual appointments only)
Fridays - 10am to 4:30pm (virtual appointments only)

In sessions, you can take off your cape and just be. Let’s help you get to a better place.
